We develop, produce and market food and beverage ingredients at ADM WILD. Our portfolio ranges from natural flavors, extracts and colors, beverage bases and fruit preparations to functional ingredients and food service solutions.
Your Role
- category and competitive sensory mapping
- close alignment with the Consumer Insights Marketing team to deliver consumer driven sensory data to our customers and support key projects
- provide sensory guided analysis of benchmarking activities including QDA, quantitative descriptive analysis
- Education and training of sensory panels (internal and external)
- deliver on planning, organization, execution and evaluation of sensory tests using Compusense; this includes differentiation, discrimination, preference, acceptance and product positioning analysis
- development of sensory test designs and methodologies
- statistical analysis of all sensory data, reporting and communication across multiple business functions
- support quality issues – complaints, raw material evaluations and product stability validation (PET proof)
- provide support to Flavor Creation and Science & Technology teams on sensory validation with respect to taste, texture and modulation
- support of sales and product development activities with sensory expertise and participation in customer visits
- preparation and delivery of presentations and/or workshops in the field of sensory science for both our customers and internal teams
- support the portfolio manager including the preparation of products for sensory evaluation and references for flavor language training
- documentation and reporting of sensory data to support portfolio records
Your Profile
- bachelor's degree or higher in sensory science optimum or related studies in food science and technology with extensive sensory experience.
- professional experience in the flavor industry
- strong statistical analysis skills
- excellent written and spoken English skills
- secure and competent knowledge of common PC programs (MS Office package, Outlook, SAP)
- deep understanding of sensory analytical tools including Compusense and XL
- high degree of initiative, independence, engagement, team spirit and conscientiousness
- innovative
- passion and interest in food and beverage market trends
- reliable team player
- able to build sensory capabilities from scratch
- communication – the position requires well developed communication skills, able to communicate at all levels and good presentation skills
